December 7, 2004
Sudberry Properties, Inc. has purchased a 21-gross-acre site located three miles east of I-15 on Railroad Canyon and Canyon Hills roads in Canyon Hills, just east of Lake Elsinore, Calif. The San Diego-based developer purchased the site from Pardee Homes.
CB Richard Ellis represented the buyer and seller in the transaction.
Situated within the 4200 home masterplanned community of Canyon Hills, the site is designated for a new 135,000-square-foot food and drug neighborhood center. Future tenants are Longs Drugs, Starbucks, Bank of America, Blockbuster Video, Jack in the Box, and Chevron.
Designed to embrace a California winery ambience and maintain the feel of the surrounding Canyon Hills community, the center will feature stone facades, gable roofs, open truss elements, broken-down massing elements, accessible pedestrian links and rich landscaping.
SGPA Architecture & Planning is the architect. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2005 and is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2006.
