Sudberry's Terraces at Copley Point to Get Under Way.

Sudberry Development Inc., the development arm of San Diego-based Sudberry Properties, expects to break ground in April on the Terraces at Copley Point, a $115 million project encompassing 380,000 square feet of class-A office space. Sudberry acquired the 25-acre Kearny Mesa parcel (assessor's parcel 356-400-34) at the north end of Copley Drive in August 2006 for $30.4.million from the San Diego Unified School District. JPMorgan Chase Bank provided a loan of $37.21 million. The project will encompass two steel-framed six-story office buildings measuring 175,000 square feet and 225,000 square feet.
Additionally proposed for the site is a 125,000 square-foot corporate headquarters building for North Island Federal Credit Union, and an approximately 160,000 square-foot self-storage facility on a 3.88-acre parceL for GAC Storage of Las Vegas. Hanna Gabriel Wells Architects is the project architect. Construction is now under way and slated for completion in September 2008.
