Village Walk at EastLake Opened

Sudberry Properties, Inc. has opened its 162,000 square-foot Village Walk at EastLake, a new upscale retail development situated on a 13.3-acre site at EastLake Parkway and Miller Drive within the master-planned community of EastLake in Chula Vista.

Tenants at Village Walk at EastLake, which is nearly 100 percent leased, include Henry's Farmers Market, Trader Joe's, Pier 1 Imports (NYSE: PIR), Borders Books (NYSE: BGP), Petco, The Brigantine, Pei WeiAslan Diner, Busalacchi's Via Lago Trattoria, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Trophy's Sport Grill, Pat & Oscars's and others.

Designed as a specialty center, Village Walk at EastLake complements Sudberry Development's adjacent 410,000 square-foot Eastlake Village Marketplace, a community shopping center opened in fall of 2003.

Village Walk completes the 860,000 square-foot town center component of EastLake.

Fehlman LaBarre Architecture and Planning of San Diego was the designer for Village Walk. Stuart Engineering was the civil engineer, Turpin & Rattan Engineering Inc. the electrical engineer; and Davar & Associates the mechanical and plumbing engineer. Norwalk & Associates was the landscape architect, Ron Neal Lighting Design the lighting designer, and Aquatic Equipment & Services built the central koi pond.
