Located on the Silver Strand Highway approximately 1-mile from the beach, the majority of Breakwater Town Center was completed in 2017. Development is underway on the adjacent 101-room Hampton Inn Hotel. The center creates an inviting gateway to Coronado and Imperial Beach and serves as a community meeting place for residents to gather and enjoy the outdoor environment. Beyond the shopping experience,  which provides a national grocer and an assortment of specialty food restaurants, it also brings new goods and services to the area. This transformation has created a central community amenity that serves all area residents and has brought new and dynamic energy to the redeveloped area.
