Opened nearly twenty years ago, Rio Vista is located in the center of  Mission Valley, across from the new masterplanned community of Civita. Rio Vista is San Diego's first "transit-oriented development" (TOD), which successfully links major retailers to a nearby trolley station. Recently Sudberry Properties aggressively pursued improving the tenant mix and updating the aesthetics of the center, undergoing a complete re-imaging and repainting with the integration of bold and vibrant colors. Current tenant mix was also upgraded to include Living Spaces, Styles for Less, Jersey Mike’s, and the first TJMaxx/Home Goods combo store.
