Civita Wins Three Silver Awards at The Nationals

For Immediate Release

Sudberry Properties’ Circa 37 Apartment Homes in Civita was honored with three Silver Awards at The Nationals competition at the Builders International Show, Feb. 4, in Las Vegas. The Nationals is the nation’s largest and most prestigious competition for sales and marketing professionals and communities. The 2014 award winners were selected from over 800 entries by a panel of eight award-winning building industry professionals. Circa 37 was honored in the Best Clubhouse AND Best Landscaping categories.

Architectural firm MVE & Partners of Irvine designed the Circa 37 clubhouse with interiors design by Robin Wilson Interior Design. Lifescapes International of Newport Beach designed the landscaping.

Sudberry Properties also won a Silver Award in the Best Print Ad Series for the Civita advertising campaign, which was created by Greenhaus of San Diego.

This is the latest in a series of awards for Civita and its residential neighborhoods.

Recently, Civita was given the “Complete Community” award from Move San Diego, a local nonprofit that advocates for sustainable transportation, and Circa 37 was honored as the Best Attached Project from the Building Industry Association of San Diego.

Last year at The Nationals, Civita’s Origen townhomes by Shea Homes was honored as the Neighborhood of the Year.

“Possibly our most significant accolade was the California Governor's Environmental and Economic Leadership Award (GEELA) for Comprehensive Land Use Planning in 2009 and the 2010 designation by the California Department of Housing and Community Development, naming Civita one of the of the Catalyst Projects for California Sustainable Communities,” said Marco Sessa, senior vice president of Sudberry Properties, master developer of Civita.

Civita is a new sustainable, transit-oriented village in San Diego’s Mission Valley that is transforming a 70-year-old sand and gravel quarry into a community that blends extensive parks and trails with urban conveniences.

The community offers a variety of attached and detached homes priced from the $400,000s to the $700,000s. Stylish apartment living is available at Circa 37 and new apartments at West Park will be available next summer.

The heart of the community is a 19-acre neighborhood park and a lively civic area, with a network of footpaths, bike paths, and vista parks. Plans for the 230-acre property call for 4,780 residential homes and apartments in numerous configurations, approximately 480,000 square feet for a lifestyle retail center and 420,000 square feet for an office/business campus.

Civita is surrounded by extensive shopping, gourmet dining, entertainment, educational opportunities, employment centers and respected heath care providers. The San Diego Trolley is a short walk away. www.civitalife.com
