Sudberry Properties’ Civita Honored at BIA Icon Awards

Neighborhoods at Civita, Sudberry Properties’ sustainable, transit-oriented village in San Diego’s Mission Valley, earned top honors in multiple categories at the Building Industry Association of San Diego’s 2014 Icon Awards. The competition honors excellence in the local homebuilding industry.

Lucent at Civita by Shea Homes was named San Diego’s Attached Project of the Year for innovative floor plans and fresh urban architecture. Thirty-six of Lucent’s 54 homes offer all living space on a single level, surrounded on three sides by walls of windows and balconies. Lucent’s other 18 homes are two-story penthouses, featuring an upstairs family room and an outdoor deck and fireplace. Designer Woodley Architectural Group also shared an Icon award for Best Architectural Design for multi-family residences. Lucent is now priced from $559,000 for two- and three-bedroom homes that range from 1,457 to 1,878 square feet.

Shea Homes was also recognized for achievement in interior design for the Plan 1 at Focus, a series of row homes with shared front patios within the Frame & Focus neighborhood at Civita.
