LA Clippers Announce Move to Frontwave Arena in Oceanside’s El Corazon

The LA Clippers have announced they are bringing their G League team to Frontwave Arena in Oceanside and rebranding it as the San Diego Clippers. Frontwave Arena, a world-class entertainment and sports venue in the heart of El Corazon, is a partnership between San Diego Sockers, Sudberry Properties, and a private ownership group.

The San Diego Clippers will commence playing in the brand-new Frontwave Arena for the 2024-25 season.  The Clippers organization is excited to return to the San Diego Area, where the MBA team played from 978-1984.

Frontwave Arena, slated to open in September 2024, will be home to the 16-time champion San Diego Sockers and a growing roster of sports teams, tournaments, and athletic events.  The arena will also showcase the best and brightest names in music of all genres, headline comedy, family shows, live podcasts and more.

The 7,500-seat indoor arena will feature a 15,000-square-foot plaza with an outdoor stage and tiered seating. Frontwave Arena is designed for premium fan experiences with sixteen luxury suites, eight bars, three spacious VIP viewing decks, two exclusive lounges and an open-air patio with panoramic sunset views. For more information, visit Frontwave Arena

Frontwave Arena is a key component of El Corazon, a 465-acre City of Oceanside multi-phase development, where more than 80 percent of the property has been set aside for parks and open space.  It includes the SoCal Sports Complex with 21 fields for competitive soccer, the William A. Wagner Aquatic Center featuring a 56-meter competitive pool, and the El Corazon Senior Center.  Sudberry Properties, the master developer of commercial and residential properties in El Corazon, is preparing to open the first apartment community, Luma, this June.
