Sudberry Properties Starts Construction on The Brynn at Civita with 200 Luxury Apartments Overlooking Beautiful Civita Park
The modern residential enclave will feature upscale amenities, beautifully maintained grounds, and apartment homes with abundant natural light and high-style design influences.
SAN DIEGO – Dec. 8, 2023 – Sudberry Properties, the master developer of the 230-acre Civita in Mission Valley, announced it has broken ground on the urban village’s fourth apartment neighborhood, The Brynn, with 200 luxury apartments and extensive amenities on 3.3 acres. The new residential enclave, scheduled to open in 2025, is located at 2525 Via Alta, overlooking the award-winning 14.3-acre Civita Park.
The five-story structure, which features “San Diego Modernism” architecture, is designed with residential units wrapping around a parking structure with 360 spaces. Building wings are configured to create a series of courtyards, each with a distinctive landscape character and theme.
“The Brynn at Civita marks the evolution of high-style design in the community, which has earned more than 60 local, regional, and national awards for design and architecture,” said Colton Sudberry, president of Sudberry Properties. “In addition to the individual units’ modern design and custom finishes, many of the apartments will have expansive views of the park, city lights, or surrounding mountains,” he added.
Sudberry Properties’ development team for The Brynn includes general contractor Rockwood Construction, Architects Orange for architecture and landscape design, RICK Engineering Company for civil engineering and land planning, and Design Tec, Inc. for interior design. Sudberry Properties will provide property management for The Brynn at Civita.
Recreational amenities reflect San Diego’s ideal year-round weather and include a beautifully appointed clubroom with accordion doors opening onto a pool and spa area with barbecues, lounges and firepits, and an indoor-outdoor fitness area. The clubroom features TVs, shuffleboard, an indoor/outdoor bar, a pool table, and a lounge area with couches. A short trail will link The Brynn to the outstanding amenities in Civita Park.
Residents of The Brynn will also have access to the extensive recreational amenities at three existing apartment neighborhoods at Civita, Circa 37, West Park, and Purl, including two fitness centers, six pools and spas, a theater, a card room, a business center and event spaces.
The smoke-free community will feature one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 613 to 1,448 square feet. Interior amenities will include 9-foot ceilings, hardwood-style flooring and carpeting, kitchens with Energy Star® stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and full-size washers and dryers. Open floorplans and large windows are designed to take advantage of the view-oriented location. Some plans will feature patios or decks.
The Brynn is centrally located in Civita, with easy pedestrian access to two dog parks, playgrounds, an elementary school, an amphitheater, gardens and a free shuttle to two local trolley stations during commute hours. Residents will also be a short walk away from The Row at Civita, where eateries, a bottle shop, and a veterinarian are now open. More shops will be open soon and Jimbo’s Naturally! is anticipated to open in 2026.
