Sudberry to Develop a Manufacturing Facility for Ionis Pharmaceuticals at El Corazon in Oceanside
Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. recently announced that it will lease a new chemistry and manufacturing facility in Oceanside’s El Corazon master plan from Sudberry Properties. According to the agreement, Sudberry Properties will develop and construct the approximately 217,000-square-foot building. Ionis will design and construct improvements to customize the facility. Ionis will lease the building for 20 years, with two 10-year options to renew and a right of first offer to purchase the property. Ionis expects to occupy the building in 2025.
The new facility will include advanced sustainability and environmental protection features such as generating 50 percent of its power from solar panels and renewable offset, increased automation and emissions controls.
